But here’s the thing – word count isn’t about hitting a number. It’s about being thorough if you can completely cover a topic in 1,500 words with nothing left unsaid, perfect! If you need 4,000 words to really do justice to a complex topic, that’s fine too!
What we DON’T want is 3,000 words of fluff because you’re trying to hit a number. Every sentence should have a purpose.
